Speakers - Gary M. Smith, JD
                
Over his 20 years in practice, Mr. Smith has represented an assortment of consumers and corporate clients, including construction companies, before State and Federal courts, the Registrar of Contractors, the Office of Administrative Hearings, and in private arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.  Smith has served as both a court-appointed and privately-retained mediator and arbitrator and is a Judge Pro Tempore of the Maricopa County Superior Court.

The Program will address interaction with the Registrar of Contractors during the complaint process, including history and current status. 

The particular focus will be on the recent changes to the Registrar Rules, including:

 Vocabulary;
Regulation;
Agency Role in the Adversary System; and
Disciplinary Outcomes.
